Dr. Eric Brown has pastored Woodland Christian Church for seventeen years. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Earlham College. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Phillips Graduate Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Brite Divinity School. Pastor Brown is an advocate for biblical justice and preaches the justice and mercy that Jesus practiced when he was on earth.
Dr. Betty Miller Green earned her doctorate from United Theological Seminary, where she focused on pastoral care and counseling. Dr. Green is the founder of Beyond Sunday Morning Inc., a ministry to enhance the church’s ability to respond to those who have been abused. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Irvin W. Green; together they have one son and two grandchildren. Rev. Green is passionate about issues that affect the wellbeing of women and children. Her favorite scripture passage is Isaiah 43:1-3.

Dr. Judy Alston is a Professor and Director of the Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies at Ashland University. A southerner by birth, she hails from Charleston, SC. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Administration from The Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Divinity degree from Methodist Theological School in Ohio, as well as a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education both from the University of South Carolina, and Bachelor of Arts in English from Winthrop College. She is the author of Herstories: Leading with the Lessons of the Lives of Black Women Activists. She is married to Dr. Cynthia A. Tyson.
Rev. Jack D. Sullivan, JR., D.Min.

Dr. Jack Sullivan is the Executive Director of the Ohio Council of Churches. A life member of both the NAACP and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Jack holds a BS in Communication from Ohio University, an M.Div. from Lexington Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from United Theological Seminary of Dayton, Ohio. For his global efforts to stop executions, Jack was awarded the 2020 Social Justice Award from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission. He is married to the Rev. Sekinah Hamlin, Minister for Economic Justice of the United Church of Christ. Together, they have five children.
Rev. Luther Young, JR., M.Div., M.A.

Rev. Luther Young is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at The Ohio State University with a focus on the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and religion. Luther also serves as moderator of the Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U.S. and Canada. He holds master’s degrees in sociology and divinity as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Engineering Technology. Luther has served in music and media ministry for nearly 14 years and has performed across the U.S. with various artists. Additionally, he was a featured author in Growing in God’s Love: A Story Biblepublished in January of 2018. A native of Beaufort, SC, Luther now lives in Columbus with his husband.
